Women are significantly underrepresented in studies and clinical trials.

Clinical research in Canada has only included women since 1997 - that’s less than 30 years of trying to catch up on understanding the critical physiological, metabolic, hormonal and cellular differences that impact treatment and care. The continued lack of research into women’s health has led to misdiagnoses, ignored symptoms and gaps in care. Your support can help us change this.

Women live longer, but with more physical and cognitive declines and cardiovascular issues.

Gaps in our understanding of how aging affects the onset and progression of diseases in women have likely contributed to worsened health outcomes. Your donation will support women-focused research that will lead to treatments tailored to women’s unique physiology and help improve outcomes.

Yet, only 5% of research funding is directed at understanding sex-based differences in symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. Together, we can reduce misdiagnosis and enhance treatments to improve women’s recovery and survival.
