In support of Colorectal Cancer Research and the Palliative Care Program at Sinai Health
The family of Jim Wilkins hosts the Annual Jim Wilkins “Stay Classy” Classic Memorial Golf Tournament in support of Colorectal Cancer Research and the Palliative Care Program at Sinai Health. The first three events were tremendous successes. As the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted everything, including large events, the difficult decision was made to defer the August 2020 tournament to Friday, August 27, 2021.
Jim passed away on 02 Aug 2016, after a brief battle with colon cancer, at the age of 33 years. He left behind his wife, 2 month old twin boys, his family, and an army of friends. He faced this with great courage and dignity, so to honour this, his love of golf, and the innovative care he received, we hold this memorial golf tournament to bring something good from the pain.
Some of our golfers and supporters from the past tournaments have expressed their understanding that the 2020 tournament had to be cancelled but asked if they can still contribute this year to keep the cause active. To accommodate, the Sinai Health Foundation has established a donation page for the Annual Jim Wilkins “Stay Classy” Classic Memorial Golf Tournament.
