Sinai Health is transforming the future of IBD research, education and care through our Centre for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Our world-leading program for advanced IBD treatments provides patients with life-changing care as they manage their illness.

The Genetic Environmental and Microbial (GEM) Project, launched by Sinai Health’s Dr. Ken Croitoru, aims to uncover the environmental and genetic triggers that lead to Crohn’s disease. With funding from Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, this project has already made a milestone discovery by defining the microbiome signature that identifies an individual’s risk for disease. But we can’t stop now.
