As we all know, our gala was intended to be a special occasion. It was to be the opportunity to honour our roots and celebrate the milestone of a century of care and discovery. The moment for our community to come together and recognize the resilience and determination of the Jewish community that founded Mount Sinai Hospital.

Given the recent events in Israel and the region, we have carefully considered the situation and believe it is not currently appropriate to proceed with the event as planned.

We know that there will be a time when we can come together to honour our rich 100-year history, celebrate all our accomplishments, and look forward to a bright future. Unfortunately, that time is not now, so we are postponing the gala.

We are confident that we will emerge from these times with a deeper appreciation for the values we hold dear, and a renewed commitment to Sinai Health and its community.
