Sinai Health Radiothon with Fairchild Radio
Thursday, June 9 from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Thank you for your support! Sinai Health was pleased to once again collaborate with Fairchild Radio AM1430 on a Radiothon.
Our community rallied together during our Radiothon to help us raise over $210,000 in support of Sinai Health’s highest priority needs, and Sinai Health’s Community Mental Health Programs. As you heard from the inspirational stories shared throughout the day, these programs are specifically designed to offer culturally-sensitive services in Cantonese and Mandarin to the GTA’s Chinese community.
On behalf of Sinai Health Foundation and Fairchild Radio, thank you for your support!
The Community Mental Health Programs include:
Assertive Community Treatment Team
The Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) supports various ethno-racial groups, including the Chinese community. Offered in Cantonese and Mandarin, it provides an accessible, culturally sensitive program of mental health outreach services for people living with severe mental illness.
Mental Health Court Support Program
Connected to the ACTT program is the Mental Health Court Support (MHCS) Program. Offered in a variety of languages including Mandarin and Cantonese, the program provides culturally sensitive services and support to individuals living with mental health challenges as they interact with the criminal justice system.
Wellness Centre
Sinai Health’s Wellness Centre features an innovative model of care which addresses the mental health needs of ethno-cultural seniors with an emphasis on wellness.
Focusing on the early identification of serious mental health disorders, this Centre offers an array of services in Cantonese and Mandarin. The Centre is designed to meet the needs of the Chinese community for more efficient and timely access to the mental health system by providing information, assessment and treatment in a comfortable and accepting environment.
