One hundred years ago, Mount Sinai Hospital opened its doors on Yorkville Avenue after a group of Jewish women raised funds for a hospital to meet the urgent health-care needs of their community. A century later, Sinai Health continues to be an inclusive and innovative hospital and health system powered by philanthropy. Sinai Health Foundation is establishing a $25-million endowed fund in honour of our centennial. The Sinai 100 Fund will provide stable annual funding in perpetuity, allowing us to respond to our most urgent needs across the hospital for the next 100 years.
